Very expected game when 9th ranked Omegna (10-12) was defeated on the road by second ranked Treviso Basket (15-7) 76-58. The game without a history. Treviso Basket led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Treviso Basket outrebounded Omegna 37-23 including a 27-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Americans were the main players on the court. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Coron Williams (185-89, college: Wake Forest) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 7 rebounds. Forward Marshawn Powell (201-90, college: Arkansas) contributed with 19 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four Treviso Basket players scored in double figures. Treviso Basket's coach Stefano Pillastrini allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Guard Devon Saddler (183-91, college: Delaware) replied with 17 points and 5 rebounds and forward Demitrius Conger (198-90, college: St.Bonaventure) added 9 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Omegna. Treviso Basket keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Ravenna. Omegna at the other side dropped to the eleventh place with 12 games lost. Treviso Basket's next round opponent will be bottom-ranked Piacentina (#16) in Piacenza which should be an easy win for them. Omegna will play at home against Recanati (#4) and hope to win that game.
