It looked good early as Thor AK took an 2-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then IA had a 19-12 second period charge getting the lead and Thor AK was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 61-72. American point guard Jamarco Warren (180-88, college: Charleston So.) fired 26 points for the winners. The former international center Fannar Helgason (202-84) chipped in 19 points and 8 rebounds. Warren is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. American forward Frisco Sandidge (198-87, college: Delaware St.) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds (made all of his fifteen free throws !!!) and point guard Einar Eyjolfsson (178-94) added 17 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Thor AK's coach let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. IA moved-up to fourth place. Thor AK lost fourth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 13 games lost. IA's next round opponent will be KFI (#7) in Isafjordur. Thor AK will play on the road against Breidablik in Kopavogur and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
