Top ranked Tezenis VE (18-4) recorded its fourth loss on the court of sixth ranked Novipiu Casale on Sunday night. Visitors were defeated by Novipiu Casale 74-65. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Tezenis VE. The hosts trailed by 11 points at the halftime before their 49-29 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Point guard Andrea Amato (190-94) fired 14 points and 5 assists for the winners. The former international power forward Niccolo Martinoni (202-89) chipped in 11 points and 8 rebounds. Four Novipiu Casale players scored in double figures. American power forward Darryl Monroe (198-86, college: George Mason) produced 15 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists and Nigerian-American point guard Michael Umeh (188-84, college: UNLV) added 15 points respectively for lost side. Novipiu Casale (12-9) moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Angelico BI. Tezenis VE at the other side still keeps top position with four games lost. They share it with C.de Latte BRE. Novipiu Casale is looking forward to face bottom-ranked CZG Veroli (#16) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Tezenis VE will play against the league's second-placed C.de Latte BRE (#2) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
