Regular Season Round 20: Zaglebie - Rosa II Radom 77-68

No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Zaglebie (12-8) beat 8th ranked Rosa II Radom (10-10) in Sosnowiec 77-68. It looked good early as Rosa II Radom took an 6-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Zaglebie had a 24-15 second period charge getting the lead and Rosa II Radom was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 68-77. Zaglebie dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Rosa II Radom's 26. They outrebounded Rosa II Radom 50-27 including a 34-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was Marek Piechowicz (201-88) who had a double-double by scoring 26 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists. Point guard Patryk Gospodarek (184-94) chipped in 20 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. point guard Jakub Schenk (185-94) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 assists and forward Lukasz Bonarek (200-93, college: MSU-West Plains) added 15 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. Four Rosa II Radom players scored in double figures. Zaglebie have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Znicz Basket and Legia. Rosa II Radom lost fourth consecutive game. Rosa II Radom at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the eighth position with ten games lost. Zaglebie's next round opponent will be higher ranked Krosno (#3) on the road and it may be the game of the week. Rosa II Radom will play against SKK Siedlce (#12) and hope to win that game.
