The game between closely ranked teams ended with 9th ranked IK Eos' (6-11) road loss to eighth ranked Visby Ladies (8-10) 59-71 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Visby Ladies. IK Eos managed to win third quarter 22-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Visby Ladies won last quarter 22-11. Croatian guard Tea Buzov (176-90) had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American center Tricia Oaks (193-89, college: Colgate) chipped in 17 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was Danish guard Simona Bartkova (178-86) with 17 points and 8 rebounds and center Louise Angel (190-91) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds. Four IK Eos players scored in double figures. Visby Ladies have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Telge. IK Eos lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with 11 games lost. Visby Ladies will meet higher ranked Norrkoping Dolphins (#5) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. IK Eos will play against the league's leader Northland (#1) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
