The biggest surprise of round 21 in Liga Endesa was guest Regal FC Barcelona's (15-6) easy road victory over 4th placed FIATC Joventut (14-7) 99-61 on Sunday evening. The game without a history. Regal FC Barcelona led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Regal FC Barcelona outrebounded FIATC Joventut 41-16 including a 31-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 59.1 percentage. The best player for the winners was Croatian center Ante Tomic (217-87, agency: XL Basketball Agency) who scored 15 points and 9 rebounds. American forward Justin Doellman (205-85, college: Xavier, agency: Beo Basket) chipped in 16 points. Four Regal FC Barcelona players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Demond Mallet (184-78, college: McNeese St., agency: Higher Vision Sports) who recorded 12 points and Bosnian-Croatian center Goran Suton (208-85, college: Michigan St.) added 9 points respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Regal FC Barcelona have a solid series of three victories in a row. Defending champion moved-up to third place, which they share with Bilbao Basket. FIATC Joventut lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fifth position with seven games lost. Regal FC Barcelona is looking forward to face Gipuzkoa (#14) in San Sebastian in the next round which should be another easy win for them. FIATC Joventut will play on the road against Blusens Monbus (#12) in Santoago de Comp and is hoping to win this game.
