Ninth-ranked Elitzur Holon (4-14) used its home court advantage to challenge top-ranked Maccabi Ashdod (18-0) on Monday. The visitors from Ashdod managed to secure only two-point victory 85-83. However their fans expected much easier game. The guests trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 3-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 85-83. American swingman Sheana Mosch (177-81, college: Duke) replied with 27 points and 8 rebounds and her fellow American import forward Asia Taylor (185-91, college: Louisville, agency: LBM Management) added 23 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Elitzur Holon. Maccabi Ashdod have an impressive 18-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 18-0 record. Elitzur Holon at the other side keeps the ninth place with 14 games lost.
