Regular Season Round 17: FSU - Hamar 79-98

The game between Top Four teams took place in Selfoss. Second-ranked host FSU (11-5) was smashed by third ranked Hamar (11-6) 98-79. The guests trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 7-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 98-79. American guard Julian Nelson (190, college: Coker) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 41 points (!!!), 11 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and forward Bjarni Larusson (195-90) chipped in 16 points and 8 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Four Hamar players scored in double figures. American forward Collin Pryor (198, college: Northern St., agency: Mansfield and Associates) responded with a double-double by scoring 43 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds and point guard Hlynur Hreinsson (174-92) scored 8 points, 7 assists and 5 steals. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Hamar maintains third place with 11-6 record having five points less than leader Hottur. FSU at the other side keeps the second position with five games lost. Hamar are looking forward to face league's leader Hottur in Egilsstadir in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. FSU will play at home against Breidablik and is hoping to win this game.
