Top ranked Hyeres-Toulon (17-4) recorded its fourth loss on the court of third ranked Boulazac Basket on Tuesday night. Visitors were defeated by Boulazac Basket 70-65. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Hyeres-Toulon. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Hyeres-Toulon won fourth quarter 23-18. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was British Ovie Soko (201-91, college: Duquesne) who scored 19 points and 5 rebounds. Nigerian power forward Dinma Odiakosa (203-85, college: Illinois St., agency: KMG Sports Management) chipped in 8 points and 11 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Kyle Spain (196-87, college: San Diego St.) who recorded 14 points and 7 rebounds and the other American import Charlie Westbrook (193-89, college: S.Dakota) added 16 points respectively. Boulazac Basket (14-6) moved-up to second place, which they share with Monaco. Hyeres-Toulon at the other side still keeps top position with four games lost. Boulazac Basket is looking forward to face Aix-Maurienne (#16) in Aix-les-Bains in the next round which should be an easy win for them.
