Regular Season Round 21: Lille - Evreux 73-71

A very interesting game took place in Lille. It ended with only two-point defeat on the road of higher ranked ALM Evreux (10-11) to fifteenth ranked Lille Metropole (8-13) 73-71 on Tuesday evening. ALM Evreux was ahead by 8 points at the halftime before a 22-8 third quarter run of Lille Metropole. They made 17-of-22 charity shots (77.3 percent) during the game. Cape Verdean-Portuguese Ivan Almeida (198-89, college: Stonehill) nailed 21 points and 7 steals (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!) for the winning side and point guard Emilien Barbry (188-83) accounted for 5 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Lille Metropole's coach Neno Asceric used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. American point guard Glenn Cosey (183-92, college: E.Kentucky, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) came up with 23 points and guard Mathis Keita (192-92, college: Indiana, PA) added 19 points respectively for ALM Evreux in the defeat. Lille Metropole moved-up to fourteenth place, which they share with Charleville. ALM Evreux at the other side keeps the tenth position with 11 games lost. Lille Metropole's next round opponent will be higher ranked Denain Voltaire (#6) on the road and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
