Regular Season Round 23: St Chamond - La Rochelle 87-69

NM1 top team - Saint Chamond (17-4) had no problems winning another game on Friday. This time they beat eleventh ranked La Rochelle (9-11) 87-69. The game was mostly controlled by Saint Chamond. La Rochelle managed to win second period 21-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Saint Chamond made 18-of-21 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 La Rochelle turnovers. It was a great evening for power forward Jean-Stephane Rinna (198-83) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Slovakian power forward Justin Sedlak (206-87, college: Florida Tech, agency: Octagon Europe) helped adding 20 points and 5 rebounds. Five Saint Chamond players scored in double figures. American forward Jarryd Cole (205-88, college: Iowa) responded with 20 points and 5 rebounds and Spanish center David Mesa (202-80) scored 11 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Saint Chamond maintains first place with 17-4 record. La Rochelle lost third consecutive game. They keep the eleventh position with 11 games lost. Saint Chamond are looking forward to face Vendee Challans (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. La Rochelle will have a break next round.
