TLU/Kalev (4-18) survived in overtime against BC Rakvere (12-9) by two points 82-80 on Friday night. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of BC Rakvere. The hosts trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 8-point lead at the halftime then BC Rakvere managed to tie the game at the end of regular time. However that was TLU/Kalev who were better in overtime eventually winning that period 5-3. They dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to BC Rakvere's 40. Lithuanian center Robertas Grabauskas (208-90, college: Northwood) fired a double-double by scoring 27 points and 17 rebounds for the winners. The former international point guard Reimo Tamm (188-84) chipped in 11 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. American guard Brandis Raley-Ross (188-87, college: S.Carolina) produced 21 points and 7 rebounds and Latvian swingman Juris Umbrasko (197-79) added 19 points respectively for lost side. Four BC Rakvere players scored in double figures. TLU/Kalev maintains eighth position with 4-18 record. BC Rakvere at the other side keeps the fourth place with nine games lost. TLU/Kalev will face higher ranked Valga Kalev (#6) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. BC Rakvere will play against KK Parnu and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
