Regular Season Round 13: UBA - Al Riyadi 85-100

An interesting game for Al Riyadi (12-1) which played road game in Byblos against 3rd placed UBA (8-5). First ranked Al Riyadi had an easy win 100-85. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of UBA. The guests trailed by 8 points after first quarter, but they stormed back and won the game by 15 points. Al Riyadi made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. American guard Jahmar Young (196-86, college: N.Mexico St.) nailed 32 points and 4 assists for the winning side and the former international swingman Fadi Khatib (199-79) accounted for 17 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international guard Mohammed Ibrahim (196-83) came up with 18 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and the former international power forward Ali Kanaan (207-85, college: Mass.-Lowell) added 13 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for UBA in the defeat. Four Al Riyadi and five UBA players scored in double figures. Al Riyadi have an impressive series of six victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 12-1 record. Loser UBA keeps the third position with five games lost. Al Riyadi's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Beirut Hoops Club.
