Regular Season Round 23: St Vallier - Vichy 80-72

The game in Saint Vallier was also quite interesting. 4th placed JA Vichy (13-8) played at the court of fifth ranked Saint Vallier (13-8). Saint Vallier managed to secure a 8-point victory 80-72 on Saturday. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But JA Vichy won third quarter 21-12. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was American swingman Rasheed Wright (196-80, college: ODU) who scored 17 points and 9 rebounds. Guard Jesse Delhomme (189-85) chipped in 15 points. Four Saint Vallier players scored in double figures. American swingman Jason Williams (198-83, college: UTEP) produced a double-double by scoring 28 points and 12 rebounds and the other American import power forward Steffon Bradford (198-77, college: Nebraska) added 14 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the guests. Saint Vallier moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Vichy. Saint Vallier will meet Rueil (#7) on the road in the next round. JA Vichy will play against Sorgues BC and hope to secure a win.
