Regular Season Round 21: Wilki Morskie - Polfarmex KT 68-92

No shocking result in a game in Szczecin where tenth ranked AZS Polfarmex (9-13) smashed 14th ranked Wilki Morskie (6-16) 92-68 on Saturday. The game without a history. AZS Polfarmex led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Wilki Morskie's 38 and made 16-of-17 free shots (94.1 percent) during the game. AZS Polfarmex forced 19 Wilki Morskie turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Wilki Morskie's players. The best player for the winners was American power forward Kevin Johnson (201-84, college: Humboldt St.) who had a double-double by scoring 28 points and 12 rebounds (perfect from the field making all eleven shots !!!). Czech Patrik Auda (206-89, college: Seton Hall) chipped in 16 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Four AZS Polfarmex players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American swingman Rodney Green (195-88, college: La Salle) who recorded 15 points and Serbian-Slovenian power forward Ivan Marinkovic (209-93) added 14 points and 5 rebounds respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Despite that victory AZS Polfarmex went down to eleventh position due to points difference. Wilki Morskie at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the fourteenth place with 16 games lost. AZS Polfarmex will face higher ranked AZS Koszalin (#3) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Wilki Morskie will play against Energa Czarni (#6) in Slupsk and hope to win that game.
