Regular Season Round 18: LTB 29 - Pays d'Aix 69-64

An interesting game took place in Pleyber-Christ where higher ranked Pays d'Aix (9-8) was upset on the court of tenth ranked LTB 29 (8-9) 69-64 on Saturday. Pays d'Aix trailed by 12 points after 3 quarters before a 23-16 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 64-69 at the end of the game. LTB 29 made 22-of-27 free shots (81.5 percent) during the game. Strangely Pays d'Aix outrebounded LTB 29 45-32 including 22 on the offensive glass. The best player for the winners was Australian forward Carly Boag (188, college: Minot St.) who had a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds. The former international guard Sabrina Palie (177-81) chipped in 15 points and 6 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American power forward Shante Evans (184-91, college: Hofstra) who recorded a double-double by scoring 17 points and 21 rebounds and Emilie Silbande (178-81) added 14 points respectively. Four Pays d'Aix players scored in double figures. Pays d'Aix's coach Virgile Abel rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. LTB 29 moved-up to eighth place, which they share with SIG. Loser Pays d'Aix keeps the sixth position with eight games lost. LTB 29 will meet bottom-ranked CFBB (#13) in the next round where they are favorite. Pays d'Aix will play against Dunkerque (#3) and hope to secure a win.
