Regular Season Round 33: Hyogo S. - Tochigi Brex 66-82

An interesting game for Tochigi Brex (26-9) which played road game in Hyogo against 4th placed Hyogo S. (13-18). Second ranked Tochigi Brex had an easy win 82-66. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Hyogo S.. It was a good game for American power forward Ryan Rossiter (204-89, college: Siena) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 20 rebounds. The former international swingman Takatoshi Furukawa (190-87) contributed with 25 points for the winners. Furukawa is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Tochigi Brex players scored in double figures. American center Isaac Butts (208-89, college: Appalachian St.) answered with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 16 rebounds and guard Tadahiro Yanagawa (183-86) added 16 points in the effort for Hyogo S.Both coaches used bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the eighth consecutive win for Tochigi Brex. They maintain second place with 26-9 record having just -1 point less than leader Hitachi SR. Loser Hyogo S. keeps the fourth position with 18 games lost. Tochigi Brex will have a break next round. Hyogo S. will play again at home against the league's second-placed Tochigi Brex (#2) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
