Regular Season Round 19: Centrum - Ammerud Bskt 79-86
Date: February 21, 2015
The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Oslo: Ammerud Bskt (#6) and Centrum (#7). Centrum was defeated at home 79-86 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 25-12. But Centrum won second period 21-18. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Mookie Rivelino (194-84, college: Quincy) who helped to win the game recording 28 points and 5 assists. Guard Nils-Paul Skara (185-87, college: William & Mary) contributed with 18 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Rivelino is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. The former international forward Miilah Kombat (198-88, college: N.Idaho JC) answered with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 15 rebounds and guard Ahmed Haddad (189-93) added 14 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Centrum. Four Centrum players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Ammerud Bskt (7-11) moved-up to fifth place. Centrum at the other side keeps the seventh position with 12 games lost. Ammerud Bskt are looking forward to face higher ranked Asker Aliens (#3) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Centrum will play against the league's second-placed Gimle BBK (#2) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
