Regular Season Round 21: Krosno - Zaglebie 83-75

Everything went according to plan when third ranked Krosno (16-5) beat at home 6th ranked Zaglebie (12-9) 83-75 on Saturday. Zaglebie trailed by 13 points after 3 quarters before a 20-15 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 75-83 at the end of the game. Krosno had a 24-13 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was Adam Parzych (190-86, college: Bryant, agency: Promotex) who scored 20 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Point guard Michal Baran (187-80) chipped in 11 points and 7 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international Marcin Kosinski (186-85) who recorded 24 points, 7 assists and 5 steals and center Patryk Nowerski (205-91) added 15 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Krosno. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Sokol Lancut. Newly promoted Zaglebie keeps the sixth place with nine games lost. Krosno will meet SKK Siedlce (#13) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Zaglebie will play against Znicz Basket (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
