Leader Halcones Rojos delivered the 32th victory. This time they beat 14th ranked Barreteros (6-34) 107-91 in Zacatecas. It was a good game for international point guard Paul Stoll (180-85) who led his team to a victory with 20 points and 8 assists. International power forward Fernando Benitez (204-89) contributed with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winners. Halcones Rojos' coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American center Jerome Habel (208-85, college: San Diego St.) replied with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds and his fellow American import point guard Camilo Valencia (175, college: MidAmerica Ch.) added 18 points in the effort for Barreteros. Five Halcones Rojos and four Barreteros players scored in double figures. Halcones Rojos (32-8) have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain first position. Barreteros lost seventh consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay dead last with 34 lost games.
