No shocking result in a game when Hornsby Spiders (2-0) defeated at home Sutherland Sharks (0-2) 75-59. Hornsby Spiders forced 26 Sutherland Sharks turnovers. Guard Benjamin Arkell (191-79) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Scottish guard Patrick Emery (185, college: Coker) contributed with 19 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four Hornsby Spiders players scored in double figures. Guard Jason Freshwater (187) replied with 14 points and 5 assists and Ufojan Isbicer added 9 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Sutherland Sharks.
