Regular Season Round 19: Lattes Montp. - Toulouse 64-58

Date: February 21, 2015
Not a big story in a game when 11th ranked Toulouse (7-12) was defeated on the road by second ranked Lattes Montpellier (16-3) 64-58 on Saturday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Toulouse won third quarter 19-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. International forward Valerianne Ayayi (185-94, agency: Comsport) fired 15 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Dutch power forward Naomi Halman (191-86, college: Cal-Irvine) chipped in 10 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Lattes Montpellier players scored in double figures. International point guard Olivia Epoupa (165-94, agency: Comsport) produced 9 points, 9 rebounds, 10 assists and 4 steals and the former international swingman Emilie Gomis (178-83) added 13 points and 4 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) respectively for lost side. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for Lattes Montpellier. Defending champion maintains second place with 16-3 record having just two points less than leader Bourges. Toulouse lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the tenth position with 12 games lost. They share it with Mondeville. Lattes Montpellier will meet Mondeville (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Toulouse will have a break next round.
