The game between ninth ranked Gipuzkoa UPV (7-12) and 13th ranked Al-Qazeres (4-15) in San Sebastian ended with biggest points difference. Gipuzkoa UPV outscored guests from Caceres 82-52. The game without a history. Gipuzkoa UPV led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. It was a great shooting night for Gipuzkoa UPV especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 57.1 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Al-Qazeres' players. Point guard Maria Gomez (170-82) fired 20 points, 6 rebounds, 9 assists and 4 steals for the winners. American forward Lenita Sanford (190-89, college: UNLV) chipped in 14 points and 9 rebounds. Four Gipuzkoa UPV players scored in double figures. Center Yaiza Garcia (190-88, agency: Regeneracom Sports) produced 13 points and 6 rebounds and guard Andrea Vilaro (182-93, college: Florida) added 5 points respectively for lost side. Al-Qazeres' coach Jacinto Carbajal gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Gipuzkoa UPV maintains ninth place with 7-12 record, which they share with Ferrol. Newly promoted Al-Qazeres keeps the thirteenth position with 15 games lost. Gipuzkoa UPV's next round opponent will be Universitario de Ferrol (#10) on the road. Al-Qazeres will play against Zamarat and hope to win that game.
