LF2 top team - Maquinaria Ensino (14-1) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they beat ninth ranked ADBA (4-10) in Aviles 72-55. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Maquinaria Ensino's pressure prevailed and they won that period 26-13 extending their advantage to 17 points. Maquinaria Ensino forced 21 ADBA turnovers. It was a quality performance for American center Kendra Suttles (185-91, college: Oklahoma St.) who led the winners and scored 18 points and 9 rebounds. The former international forward Mireia Navarrete (184-80) accounted for 10 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side. Maquinaria Ensino's coach Pepe Vazquez used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Power forward Lara Fernandez (179-87) came up with 8 points and 6 rebounds and American-Nigerian swingman Anma Onyeuku (181-91, college: Hofstra) added 14 points respectively for ADBA in the defeat. Maquinaria Ensino have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain first place in Group A with 14-1 record. ADBA lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with ten games lost. Maquinaria Ensino will meet at home Oviedo (#10) in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
