LSB top team - Capitalinos (23-0) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed fifth ranked Camaguey (9-15) 79-54. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 10-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 79-54. Capitalinos outrebounded Camaguey 39-27 including 27 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a quality performance of international forward Karel Guzman (188-95) who helped to win the game recording 16 points and forward Angel Rey Alvarez (190-90) who added 10 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was the former international Yordany Jaca (195-83) with 15 points and 8 rebounds and forward Yoanny Baldo (191-89) scored 13 points and 8 rebounds. Four Camaguey players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Capitalinos have an impressive 23-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 23-0 record. Camaguey lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with 15 games lost. Capitalinos are looking forward to face league's second-placed Santiago in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Camaguey will play against Ciego de Avila and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
