Mark Basket was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. Sallen forced 19 Mark Basket turnovers. It was a great evening for Serbian Dajana Butulija (176-86, agency: Interperformances) who led her team to a victory scoring 18 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. The former international Kadidja Andersson (183-80, college: Minnesota) helped adding 15 points and 5 rebounds. Four Sallen players scored in double figures. At the losing side American guard Jasmine Thomas (170-91, college: Michigan St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 13 rebounds and the other American import Ashley Daniels (186-89, college: Arkansas, agency: Two Points) scored 7 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Sallen. They maintain third place with 14-5 record having four points less than leader Northland. Mark Basket at the other side keeps the sixth position with nine games lost. Sallen will play against Akropol (#10) in Spanga in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Mark Basket will play on the road against Alvik Basket (#4) in Stockholm and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
