Regular Season Round 20: Wildcats - Crocodiles 81-71

There was no surprise when 6th ranked Townsville Crocodiles (11-17) were defeated on the road by fourth ranked Perth Wildcats (16-12) 81-71 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Perth Wildcats. Townsville Crocodiles was better in second period 19-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Perth Wildcats forced 22 Townsville Crocodiles turnovers. The best player for the winners was American forward DeAndre Daniels (206-92, college: Connecticut) who had a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds. International center Tom Jervis (211-87, college: Troy) chipped in 14 points and 8 rebounds. The former international forward Todd Blanchfield (200-91) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds and American forward Brian Conklin (198-89, college: St.Louis) added 17 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Defending champion maintains fourth position with 16-12 record. Loser Townsville Crocodiles keep the sixth place with 17 games lost.
