Top ranked Akita Happinets (29-7) recorded its seventh loss at the home court on Sunday night. Hosts were defeated by fifth ranked Niigata Albirex (22-14) 93-83. The game was mostly controlled by Niigata Albirex. Akita Happinets managed to win third quarter 30-27. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening.
