Undefeated leader Wisla Krakow delivered the nineteenth consecutive win on Sunday night. This time they crushed 12th ranked Konin (2-16) 84-63. The game was mostly controlled by Wisla Krakow. Konin managed to win fourth quarter 17-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Wisla Krakow dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Konin's 34. They outrebounded Konin 38-26 including 28 on the defensive glass. American center Jantel Lavender (191-88, college: Ohio St.) fired a double-double by scoring 26 points and 10 rebounds (on 11-of-12 shooting from the field) for the winners. The former international forward Justyna Cegielska (188-85) chipped in 11 points and 8 rebounds. Four Wisla Krakow players scored in double figures. American guard Renee Taylor (158-85, college: Miami, FL) produced 13 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists (made all of her eight free throws) and the other American import guard Aaryn Ellenberg (170-92, college: Oklahoma) added 16 points respectively for lost side. Wisla Krakow (19-0) have an impressive series of nineteen victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with a perfect record of 19 victories in a row. Konin at the other side stay at the bottom position with 16 games lost. Wisla Krakow are looking forward to face Energa Torun (#3) at home in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Konin will play against CCC Polkowice (#4) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
