Very important is a home loss of second ranked Mitsubishi Dolphins (20-12) against fourth ranked Chiba Jets (21-13) on Sunday night. Host Mitsubishi Dolphins were defeated by Chiba Jets in Nagoya 88-75. Chiba Jets dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Mitsubishi Dolphins' 38. American power forward Rick Rickert (211-83, college: Minnesota) fired 23 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. The other American import guard Paris Horne (191-87, college: St.John's) chipped in 14 points (perfect from the field making all six shots). Senegalese-French forward Amath M'Baye (206-89, college: Oklahoma) produced a double-double by scoring 30 points and 11 rebounds and the former international point guard Takumi Ishizaki (188-84) added 11 points and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Chiba Jets have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 21-13 record. Mitsubishi Dolphins lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the second place with 12 games lost. Chiba Jets will meet at home league's leader Aishin Sea Horses in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Mitsubishi Dolphins will play against Tsukuba R. and hope to secure a win.
