Regular Season Round 15: Andratx - UCAM Jairis 60-55

Everything went according to plan when ninth ranked Andratx (5-10) defeated at home 11th ranked UCAM Jairis (3-12) 60-55 on Sunday. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. It was a good game for Paraguayan point guard Maria Mercado (162-89) who led her team to a victory with 12 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Center Nogaye Lo Sylla (192-96) contributed with 12 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Four Andratx players scored in double figures. Andratx's coach Trinidad Bou Estrada used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Rwandan-American guard Tierra Henderson (178-87, college: UCLA) answered with 21 points and 6 rebounds and forward Ana-Carlota Faussurier (188-94, college: Arkansas) added 12 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for UCAM Jairis. Andratx moved-up to eighth place in Group B, which they share with Estudiantes. UCAM Jairis at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the eleventh position with 12 games lost. Andratx will face higher ranked Dist.Olimpico (#4) in Madrid in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. UCAM Jairis will play at home against the league's leader CREF Hola (#1) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
