There was an upset when higher ranked Oita Heat Devils (13-23) were edged at home by tenth ranked Fukuoka Rizing (8-28) 83-81 on Sunday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Oita Heat Devils won third quarter 17-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Fukuoka Rizing made 20-of-25 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Oita Heat Devils were plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was American forward Josh Peppers (201-85, college: Cent.Florida, agency: Court Side) who scored 18 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Point guard Cohey Aoki (167-80) chipped in 17 points and 5 assists.
