Eighth-ranked Takamatsu FA (10-26) made lots of trouble for second ranked Hamamatsu Phoenix (30-6). The visitors from Mikawa managed to secure only three-point victory 76-73. However their fans expected much easier game. It looked good early as Takamatsu FA took a 12-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Hamamatsu Phoenix took control and eventually winning the game that evening by 3 points. The game was dominated by American players. Forward Mo Charlo (203-83, college: Nevada) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Jermaine Green (203-80, college: N.Texas, agency: Haylett Sports) contributed with 11 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Four Hamamatsu Phoenix players scored in double figures. Swingman Dexter Lyons (198-81, college: Cent.Florida, agency: I.D.S. Law) replied with 25 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and power forward Benjamin Puckett (205-83, college: Clayton St., agency: I.D.S.
