A very close game took place in Hasharon between Ramat Hasharon and Bnot Hertzeliya. Ramat Hasharon (9-11) got a very close home victory over Bnot Hertzeliya (11-9). Ramat Hasharon managed to escape with a 3-point win 67-64 on Monday evening. The hosts trailed by 12 points after three quarters before their 23-8 charge, which allowed them to win the game. The game was dominated by American players. Swingman Tamara James (178-84, college: Miami, FL) fired a double-double by scoring 28 points and 15 rebounds for the winners. Point guard A'Dia Mathies (175-91, college: Kentucky) chipped in 12 points and 4 assists. Guard Chelsea Hopkins (173-90, college: San Diego St.) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points, 9 rebounds, 12 assists and 8 steals and power forward Ebony Hoffman (188-82, college: USC) added 14 points and 14 rebounds respectively for lost side. Four Bnot Hertzeliya players scored in double figures. Ramat Hasharon will meet Elitzur Ramla on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Bnot Hertzeliya will play against Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
