Second Stage Round 12: Grodno-93 - Rubon 91-74

An interesting game for Grodno-93 (19-3) which hosted in Grodno 4th ranked Rubon (12-10). First ranked Grodno-93 had an easy win 91-74. The game was mostly controlled by Grodno-93. Rubon was better in second period 20-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Rubon 40-28 including 26 on the defensive glass. Grodno-93 players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international forward Andrei Mastou (202-84) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds and the former international guard Dzmitry Kuzmin (196-75) who added 17 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals during the contest. Four Grodno-93 players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was forward Victor Ovsepyan (204-91) with 17 points and forward Marsel Ovsepian (202-90) scored 12 points and 7 rebounds. Grodno-93 maintains first position with 19-3 record. Rubon at the other side keeps the fourth place with ten games lost. Grodno-93 will play against league's second-placed Tsmoki II in Minsk in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Rubon will play at home against BGU Minsk and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
