The game in Minsk was also quite interesting. 5th ranked GOCOR-Sozh (11-11) played at the court of sixth ranked BGU Minsk (7-15). BGU Minsk managed to secure a 8-point victory 81-73 on Tuesday. GOCOR-Sozh trailed by 11 points after 3 quarters before a 23-20 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 73-81 at the end of the game. The winners were led by Cuban forward Darol Hernandez (206-89) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 13 points and 15 rebounds and center Dmitriy Danilik (205-83) supported him with 15 points and 11 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Five BGU Minsk players scored in double figures. BGU Minsk's coach Dmitri Novitzky used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even a double-double of 19 points, 15 rebounds and 6 assists by Ukrainian forward Ivan Kaliayev (201-87) did not help to save the game for GOCOR-Sozh. Center Viachaslau Skidan (205-85) added 18 points and 7 rebounds. Newly promoted BGU Minsk maintains sixth position with 7-15 record. GOCOR-Sozh lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with 11 games lost. BGU Minsk will meet higher ranked Rubon (#4) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. GOCOR-Sozh will play against Borisfen and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
