Eighth ranked Hapoel Kazrin (10-9) saved a 2-point victory on the road edging much higher ranked GreenTops Netanya (13-6) 85-83 on Tuesday evening. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of GreenTops Netanya. The guests were already 11 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 23-14 GreenTops Netanya's run in the last quarter cut the lead to 85-83 at the end of the game. Hapoel Kazrin players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists. It was a great evening for American power forward Germain Jordan (198-86, college: Dillard, agency: Court Side) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 12 rebounds. Naturalized Russian power forward Anton Kazarnovski (205-85) helped adding 16 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Hapoel Kazrin players scored in double figures. At the losing side American Brandon Brown (199-85, college: CS San Bernar.) responded with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 22 rebounds and the other American import guard Paul Marigney (192-82, college: St.Mary's, CA) produced a double-double by scoring 22 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists. Hapoel Kazrin moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Elitzur Yavne. GreenTops Netanya at the other side dropped to the third position with six games lost. They share it with Hapoel Migd.H. and Hapoel G/A. Hapoel Kazrin will play against bottom-ranked Elitzur Ramla (#14) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. GreenTops Netanya will play against Elitzur Yavne (#8) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
