Regular Season Round 35: Eco Orebro - Umea 98-87

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 9th ranked Umea (8-21) was defeated on the road by tenth ranked Eco Orebro (6-23) 98-87. The game was mostly controlled by Eco Orebro. Umea was better in fourth quarter 25-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Eco Orebro dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Umea's 32. Guard Brandon Barton (192-88) orchestrated the victory by scoring 27 points. Johan Lofberg (199-95) contributed with 21 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winners. Five Eco Orebro players scored in double figures. Canadian-British Kai Williams (198-88, college: S.Dakota St.) answered with 29 points and 8 rebounds and Emil Salon (190-85) added 22 points in the effort for Umea. Eco Orebro's next round opponent will be league's leader Norrkoping Dolphins in Norrkoping and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
