An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Santiago. Leader Capitalinos faced their biggest opponent Santiago. Host Capitalinos (24-0) defeated guests from (18-7) 92-76. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Santiago. Santiago was trailing by 9 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 30-13 charge of Capitalinos, which allowed them to win the game. Strangely Santiago outrebounded Capitalinos 39-20 including a 22-11 advantage in defensive rebounds. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Capitalinos made 8 blocks. The former international swingman Lisvan Valdez (195-88) fired 18 points for the winners. International center Orestes Torres (203-87) chipped in 14 points and 5 rebounds. Capitalinos' coach Rainel Panfet used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. International center Javier Justiz (205-92) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points, 14 rebounds and 5 blocks and international forward Esteban Martinez (192-87) added 19 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Capitalinos have an impressive series of twenty four victories in a row. They maintain first place with 24-0 record. Santiago at the other side keeps the second position with seven games lost. Capitalinos are again looking forward to face league's second-placed Santiago in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Santiago will have a break next round.
