No shocking result in a game when second ranked Winner/Limeira (20-4) defeated at home 10th ranked Brasilia (10-14) 86-69. The game was mostly controlled by Winner/Limeira. Brasilia was better in second period 22-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Winner/Limeira won last quarter 32-17. They made 16-of-18 charity shots (88.9 percent) during the game. Winner/Limeira outrebounded Brasilia 37-24 including 30 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for Dominican-American guard Ronald Ramon (183-86, college: Pittsburgh) who led his team to a victory with 26 points and 6 rebounds. The former international center Bruno Fiorotto (208-84) contributed with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Four Winner/Limeira players scored in double figures. Winner/Limeira will play against SKY/Basquete (#14) in Aldeota in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Brasilia will play on the road against Rio Claro and hopes to get back on the winning track.
