The game between closely ranked teams ended with fifth ranked Viterbo's (2-2) home victory over bottom-ranked Muggia (0-3) 68-48 on Wednesday. The game without a history. Viterbo led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Muggia to just 7 points in third quarter. They outrebounded Muggia 48-35 including 35 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was Bulgarian forward Roksana Yordanova (184-84) who had a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds. Power forward Ludovica Chimenz (186-90) chipped in 3 points and 18 rebounds. Croatian forward Mia Masic (180-93) produced a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds and power forward Eleonora Zizola (184-94) added 10 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the guests. Viterbo moved-up to fourth place in A2. Loser Muggia still closes the standings with three games lost. Viterbo will face league's second-placed San Salvatore at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Muggia will play against Albino (#5) and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
