There was no surprise in Krakow where Trefl II Sopot (0-10) was crushed by AZS AGH Alstom (7-3) 84-49 on Thursday. The game without a history. AZS AGH Alstom led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Trefl II Sopot to just 5 points in first quarter. AZS AGH Alstom dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Trefl II Sopot's 28. AZS AGH Alstom forced 24 Trefl II Sopot turnovers and outrebounded them 44-28 including a 28-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was guard Jakub Krawczyk (191-91) who scored 11 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Michal Borowka (192-94) chipped in 12 points. Pawel Krefft (188-96) produced 10 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Damian Ciesielski (182-97) added 8 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. AZS AGH Alstom will face AZS PGd (#7) in Gdansk in the next round. Trefl II Sopot will play at home against Wisla Krakow and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
