Qazvin's fans can celebrate the first win of their team after two consecutive loses. The victory is especially important as it came on the road game in Abadan, where they edged Naft Abadan (1-3) 73-70. Naft Abadan was ahead by 7 points at the halftime before a 44-34 second half run of Qazvin. Naft Abadan was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Saeid Mohammadi (187-92) who helped to win the game recording 16 points and 9 rebounds and the former international center Mohammad Shahsavand (210-77) who added 18 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side international center Asghar Kardoust (212-86) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds and the former international Yonas Lalehzadeh (197-89, college: Cal-Irvine) scored 12 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Qazvin (1-2) left bottom position moving up to fifth place, which they share with PMINA Esfahan. Naft Abadan at the other side keeps the seventh position with three games lost. They share it with Sanaye and Samen. Qazvin will play against higher ranked Shahrdari Gorgan (#4) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Naft Abadan will play against the league's second-placed Mahram in Tehran to get more than just one victory in their record.
