There was no surprise when 9th ranked Maccabi Haifa (8-13) was defeated at home by seventh ranked Hapoel Eilat (10-10) 87-74 on Thursday. The guests trailed by 3 points at the halftime before their 44-28 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Hapoel Eilat dominated on the defensive end, holding Maccabi Haifa to just 7 points in third quarter. They outrebounded Maccabi Haifa 40-26 including a 31-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Hapoel Eilat looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists.
