Rather predictable result when eighth ranked Gunma (15-21) won against at home 12th ranked Saitama Broncos (4-32) 84-71 on Friday. The game without a history. Gunma led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. It was a good game for American guard Andre Murray (188-87, college: Portland St.) who led his team to a victory with 14 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. His fellow American import forward Carlos Dixon (201-81, college: Virginia Tech) contributed with 18 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Four Gunma players scored in double figures. Gunma's coach Charlie Parker used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Gary Johnson (198-91, college: Albany) answered with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 15 rebounds and Vincentian power forward Nyika Williams (203-87, college: Pacific) added 11 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Saitama Broncos. Gunma have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain eighth place with 15-21 record. Saitama Broncos lost third consecutive game. They keep the twelfth position with 32 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
