Regular Season Round 3: Patriotas - Guerreros 78-62

First defeat of league's leader Guerreros (2-1) against Patriotas (2-1) 78-62 was the most important game of the last round. The game was mostly controlled by Patriotas. Guerreros managed to win third quarter 21-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Guerreros to just 7 points in second quarter. It was a good game for American guard Horace Wormely (168-84, college: Vanguard) who led his team to a victory with 23 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. His fellow American import guard Prince Obasi (193-91, college: Seattle, agency: Elite Talent Exchange) contributed with 18 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. American forward Randy Hunter (198-90, college: Guerreros) answered with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds and point guard Diego Quiroz (182-85) added 16 points in the effort for Guerreros. Guerreros' coach Cesar Cassiani rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Guerreros will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest. Patriotas will try to continue on its current victory against Guerreros in Bogota.
