Regular Season Round 16: Ensino - Oviedo 76-58

LF2 top team - Maquinaria Ensino (15-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they beat tenth ranked Oviedo (2-13) in Lugo 76-58. The game was mostly controlled by Maquinaria Ensino. Oviedo was better in third quarter 25-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Oviedo to just 5 points in second quarter. They outrebounded Oviedo 38-27 including a 30-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a very good performance for Argentinian forward Paula Reggiardo (178-84, agency: Josep and Nicolas) who helped to win the game recording 20 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). The former international forward Mireia Navarrete (184-80) contributed with 16 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four Maquinaria Ensino players scored in double figures. Maquinaria Ensino's coach Pepe Vazquez used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Naturalized Argentinian Ines Orselli (-93) replied with 21 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals and point guard Andrea Malanda (164-90) added 17 points in the effort for Oviedo. Maquinaria Ensino have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain first position in Group A with 15-1 record. Oviedo lost third consecutive game. They keep the tenth place with 13 games lost. Maquinaria Ensino's next round opponent will be Araski AES (#7) in Vitoria-Gasteiz where they are favorite. Oviedo will play at home against ADBA and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
