Very important is a road loss of second ranked Boras II (6-5) against seventh ranked Alvik Basket (5-5) on Saturday night. Visiting Boras II was defeated by Alvik Basket in Bromma 91-79. The hosts trailed by 15 points at the halftime before their 54-27 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Alvik Basket forced 23 Boras II turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Forward Richard Hartmann (203-89) nailed a double-double by scoring 25 points and 11 rebounds for the winning side and guard Anton Julin (191-91) accounted for 16 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Alvik Basket's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward John Brandmark (194-97) came up with 20 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Adam Andersson (187-91) added 17 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) respectively for Boras II in the defeat. Five Alvik Basket and four Boras II players scored in double figures. Alvik Basket moved-up to fifth place in Superettan. Loser Boras II dropped to the third position with five games lost. Alvik Basket will meet higher ranked 08 Stockholm (#4) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Boras II will have a break next round.
