Regular Season Round 14: Hoops - UBA 75-71

The most important game in the last round took place in Beirut between third ranked UBA (8-6) and eighth ranked Hoops Club (2-12) on Saturday night. UBA was defeated by Hoops Club in a tough game on the road 71-75. UBA was trailing by 9 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 17-12 charge of Hoops Club, which allowed them to win the game. Hoops Club outrebounded UBA 41-28 including 18 on the offensive glass. American forward Tyrone Nelson (206-85, college: N.Mexico St.) had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 15 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import swingman Charron Fisher (193-85, college: Niagara) chipped in 20 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. Four Hoops Club players scored in double figures. The former international guard Mohammed Ibrahim (196-83) responded with 14 points and 7 assists and American guard Jasmon Youngblood (195-84, college: Kent St.) scored 20 points. Hoops Club maintains eighth position with 2-12 record. UBA at the other side keeps the third place with six games lost.
