Very expected game when 9th ranked Andratx (5-11) was defeated at home by fourth ranked Dist.Olimpico (11-5) 73-55 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 13-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 73-55. Dist.Olimpico made 25-of-31 free shots (80.6 percent) during the game. Andratx was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of Celia Menendez (186-90, agency: Josep and Nicolas) who helped to win the game recording 16 points and 9 rebounds and Patricia Arguello (178-87) who added 20 points during the contest. At the losing side Serbian power forward Nina Djokovic (184-87, college: Bethel, TN) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 14 rebounds and Serbian guard Milena Papic (173-87) scored 9 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Dist.Olimpico moved-up to third place in Group B, which they share with Sant Adria and Leganes. Newly promoted Andratx keeps the ninth position with 11 games lost. Dist.Olimpico will face Leganes (#3) at home in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Andratx will play against the league's leader CREF Hola (#1) in Madrid and hope to win that game.
